Ascott Corniche Al-Khobar Hotel & Furnished Suites

Strategically located along Al Khobar’s vibrant Corniche and overlooking the Arabian Gulf, the Ascott Corniche Al-Khobar Hotel is a 172-key serviced residence operated by The Ascott Limited. Set within an 18-storey glass-clad tower, the project balances panoramic views with urban proximity, offering guests immediate access to the waterfront promenade, the city’s retail district, and major road links. We were comissioned to do the Interior design by SDT acting as main consultant for the client.


Our concept was developed in response to the sculptural form of the building—its facets, transparency, and vertical rhythm—which inspired a conceptual narrative centered on gemstones. Drawing from the richness of gem colors and the symbolism of birthstones, we crafted a design language that is both elegant and thematically cohesive.


This narrative unfolds across a variety of scales: from the chromatic palette and surface textures, to the intricate floor patterns and refined lighting fixtures. Shades of emerald, sapphire, and topaz are interpreted through textiles, marbles, and metal finishes. Custom chandeliers evoke gemstone cuts, while accessories and artwork reinforce the layered theme.


The result is a refined hospitality experience—one that merges narrative-driven design with comfort, elegance, and operational precision in the heart of Al Khobar.
