Byblos Express began as a single fast-casual restaurant in Jeddah, introducing a new concept in Lebanese dining: quick service with a refined touch. The project sought to translate the warmth and authenticity of Lebanese cuisine into a contemporary interior language—simple, inviting, and memorable enough to serve as the foundation for a future brand rollout.
The design relies on a clear, approachable palette. Pastel tones of light blue and olive green set a calm yet distinctive atmosphere, applied across back-painted glass panels and accent walls. These soft hues contrast with the warmth of smooth-textured yellow natural stone and the crisp neutrality of white painted steel panels. The latter are engraved with stylized Phoenician letters, subtly anchoring the design in cultural heritage while maintaining a modern, graphic quality.
The resulting aesthetic struck a balance between casual dining and cultural storytelling—so effectively that the client later adopted the interior’s color scheme and material identity to develop the Byblos Express franchise brand.
