Hanging Gardens, Furnished Suites

Beirut, Lebanon

Nestled on an elevated site in Ashrafieh, overlooking the Port of Beirut, the Hanging Gardens project comprises 16 serviced suites and a signature duplex penthouse. The development was conceived as a refined residential offering for short- and mid-term stays, blending hotel-like comfort with the intimacy of home.

Designed in an industrial style well-suited to its dense urban setting, the project embraces a material language of dark and exposed concrete surfaces, natural textures, and red brick highlights. These architectural elements extend into the interiors, where the design continues the same tonal depth and material honesty, reinforcing the overall character of the building.

Each suite is designed with an emphasis on spatial clarity. Neutral palettes are paired with rich textures, curated furnishings, and custom detailing to create a welcoming yet elegant atmosphere. Full-height glazing connects interior spaces with planted terraces and panoramic city views, reinforcing the project’s name and identity.

A duplex penthouse crowns the building with a generous open-plan living area, private sleeping quarters, and a rooftop garden. The interior design accentuates the transition between inside and out, using natural materials and soft tonal variations to frame light, views, and vegetation.

Across all units, lighting, cabinetry, and loose furniture were selected to reinforce the project’s calm, contemporary feel—providing a consistent yet flexible environment suitable for both short-term guests and longer-term residents. The result is a tranquil urban retreat where greenery, design, and comfort coexist in balance.
