Set on a compact site nestled within Monteverde’s pine-covered hills, this private residence was commissioned by a long-standing professional client—an engineer and owner of an engineering firm with whom we have maintained a strong collaborative relationship.
The brief called for a traditional Lebanese architectural language for the exterior, while the interiors were to reflect a contemporary lifestyle with subtle classical accents. Our role encompassed full interior design and architectural support, ensuring coherence between envelope and interior atmosphere.
Natural light and expansive views guided the internal layout. Vaulted archways, and stone finishes interpreted Lebanese vernacular cues in a restrained manner, while warm wood, curated lighting, and carefully selected furniture softened the transition between tradition and modernity.
A more contemporary language was proposed for the lower-basement level, which houses an indoor pool, private spa, and entertainment area. Here, sleek surfaces, indirect lighting, and minimalist detailing set a more relaxed, wellness-focused tone.
The result is a layered home that balances its client’s appreciation for heritage with modern comfort and spatial clarity—rooted in place yet responsive to contemporary living.
